Too YoungA Poem by Faith KinnisonToo Young You were too young to die the way you did Shot to death in the parking lot You were too young to die for some girl Without a friend in this world How I wish you weren’t alone that night I can’t even imagine the fright How does it feel to lie there on the cold, hard pavement and know that you’re never going to see your family again? Or is it like that at all? Did you lie there knowing you were going to die? Or did you believe right up until the end that you’d be all right? Did you look around and wish that someone was there? Or did you even notice? You were too young to die and I don’t know why. Copyright © 2005, Faith Kinnison All Rights Reserved No part of this book may be reproduced, stored in a
