Why Do I

Why Do I

A Poem by Faith Kinnison

Why Do I

Why do I keep thinking about you,

after the way you broke my heart?

Why do I keep seeing you,

though you tore my world apart?

Why do I still dream about you,

when you’re no longer my man?

Why do I wish you were here,

and we were still hand in hand?

Why do I let you touch me,

when I know how it will end?

Why do I still cry over you,

even though my heart wont mend?

Why do I let you make love to me,

though I know you’re with someone?

Why do I still want you,

when I should turn around and run?

Why do I still need you,

though I know I can’t have you?

Why do I still love you,

when you only make me feel blue?
