Roses

Roses

A Poem by Deborah Shepard

Roses

A friendship that is built on a lie,

in time will surely die.

But a friendship where the truth is spoken,

will not easily be broken

I sit by the edge of the balcony ,where once I held thee
The lasting romance of each kiss , my soul finds we
Embraced in walls utterances
Only to feel you as my catalyst of time

Unravel the beads of destiny
Its the shimmery fairy life here
Not fleeting each softness is gone
You plucked the rose from existence, tis dawn

Roses accolades will refine my atonement to me
I shall feel the worlds shouldered burden releases, forever
As the dauphins speak to each so my soul shall rise
Hear my soul beckoning to its eternal refuse to find thee
