Child of wonder

Child of wonder

A Poem by Deborah Shepard

Child of wonder~~

The child is filled with sweet wonder, as her window opens in rainbows thunder
Stars beckon the soul, as she wishes, each one her heart hopes, she awaits her prince soon
Fluttered in her dreams captured her lullaby, fairy moons
Fairyism sparkle in enchanted roses hearts lie, rides in silvery amethyst spoons

Do you believe in magic?

The child solace dreams flee to unicorn kingdoms paths
Lighted worlds apart becomes her wanderings lute, at last
Musical shells erode the paths till she finds aspired roots
Lithe painted soft blues, moonlit skies

Do you believe in magic?

The child awakens to parody in life
Beauty aspired in each walk in strife
Her density as the Pegasus princess awakens heirloom flight
Whilst she  sing in vesper heights ?

There nothing quite as wonderful as seeing the world through the eyes of a child who is excited by all the wonders that surround us. :-) Sharon
