Waning light

Waning light

A Poem by Deborah Shepard

Untamed visions pale stones ride
Peaceful streams sunbeams glimmer
Horses pause for thirst
Vintage memories past

Dawns the mist of greater stories told
Flowing etches timeless tranquilities
Mural collections
Graceful mare

Weather wooded path
Flawlessly wings mane
Freedom grazing stillness
Almost surreal intent

Dust reflections by the golden hues
Cherokees lovers run free
Serene natures timeless song
amidst the waning light, peace
