Daddys song

Daddys song

A Poem by Deborah Shepard

Soft playing, crawling across the floor
Laughing so soft you can hear nothing more
His small little hands fit his daddys glove
The smiles at each gave only daddys love

A star in the sky for my daddy and I ~~~~

How does one plan for child of the heart, soul?
You cannot, each is with angels lull
The balcony I believe is set in place
With each cherubs face to face

A star in the sky for my daddy and I ~~~~

You see the greatest father, is one who is beside me now
He shared the beauty, laughter of a seven-half bundle of joy
Yesterdays dreams his little boy, his pride and joy
His dads soft face, taking his son-father place

A star in the sky for my daddy and I ~~~~

Through the years, he learned how to bottle feed
Learning through potty-training with velveteen rabbit and pea
His doll he loved place to place he went
Never child more smiles he spent

A star in the sky for my daddy and I ~~~~

Now as he carried on dads army career
Proud his father is, still remembering the first crawl
The childhood, beauty and memories, photos kept in souls book
Loving memory will be to always remember words spoken 'daddy ' his nook
