Promises

Promises

A Poem by Deborah Shepard

Once many years ago the angels came graced two blooms to grow
Without palaces, mansions, anything, master gardener could show
They found each others spirit started to grow that night
Softness allowed the two search canyons to seek

" A PROMISE THAT BROUGHT HAPPINESS, I WILL NEVER BREAK'

Lights were granted each one with Gods peak
Vesper would shine as the couple began the journey as one
Woven kings stopped to sprinkle sunshine, rain, storms, sleet snow
Each would share gifts to bare "as all promised days would go

. A PROMISE THAT BROUGHT HAPPINESS, I WILL NEVER BREAK'

So each millstone would serve as the teachings
Sharing Gods word, many reflections on heart
Years went by the each blossom grew in more beauty, each living part
Now as the days grew weary and they started in living plumes to cry
All the beauty they shared, cared in each life, the woodlands lullaby
