Love

Love

A Poem by Deborah Shepard

Breathtaking encounter soft eagles plight
Unchallenged by faith, beauty in life
Symbols he collected in his heart, unique Cherokee dream
Each wings he sheltered for kindred no fame

Breathe his love in etched kindness, vast device
Vesper Celeste treelike
Awaiting your footsteps
Spirits solemn, in stars erupt

Evening shadows the moon, soft rose ties
Decent to the lower slopes
Soaring in majestic wills in space and time
Cherokee totems freely roam
