The General

The General

A Poem by Fairwells
"

The relationship between a General and a fashionista.

"

The general stood tall and austere

Insouciantly she clicked her Jimmy Choos

he assumed it was because of her fear

she thought he was a disaster in blues

He slowly explained the engagement rules

She sketched him wearing less shiny brass

He detailed all military plans and tools

She gave his outfit a fashion mass

He pointed out that he won this doubtful war

She pointed out her disbelief by what he wore.

(dedicated to Ken)
