The crown of thorns you bore

"THE CROWN OF THORNS YOU BORE"

A sinner no worse can one find than I,

beyond hope and without grace;

can one be than I.

but, you loved me indeed,

for me you gave your only seed;

to bring me hope and set me free,

you bore the crown of thorns just for me.

lost and alone i once was,

bitter and full of pain;

that is how you found me,

you loved me none the less.

but, you loved me indeed,

for me you gave your only seed;

to bring me hope and set me free,

you bore the crown of thorns just for me.

you bore the cross of death,

that i may be freed from it;

to give me life you gave yours,

you wore the crown of thorns;

and bled the blood of life,

just for me!

Beautiful, beautiful. The repetition made it, rather than taking away from it. It's something anyone who was lost and found love can relate to. Or maybe that's just me, speaking from my predjudice heart.
