Sweet Lustrous Escape

Sweet Lustrous Escape

A Story by Fahmida Mehreen

Crush, infatuation, short lived passion, or lust; often compared or evened out on the same line with love. True love is to be shielded from the curse of sinful lust and momentary desperation. It only causes real feelings to stand alone, vacant. But, that is not all about it.

What can be more invigorating than the companionship of the person who means a world to you? What can put you more at ease than spending hours, resting your head on his lap and talking about work and movies and books? What can be sweeter than you, kissing his forehead, to let him know that you crave to be with him?

Fondling is not lust. Infatuation is not love. That is why, in the middle of the night when a strange noise wakes me up, I make a silent prayer. Pray that he is having a good night’s sleep. To wake up and have a good day. Another day for the world to witness him.

That is how I love him. That is how I will always preserve my candid lust for him.

If you gaze at the horizon when you are standing at the beach you will notice that the sky merges with the sea. They ultimately become one. Maybe love also needs to become one..... Maybe all the terms that you have used have a special meaning when they are encompassed by love. Remove love from the equation....then infatuation, lust and passion become isolated things that will not last long.
You have written an enviable piece here..... wonderful

I feel exactly the same way as you do. Remove love, and every other thing becomes a chip on a gambli.. read more
This is so tenderly voiced, so beautifully and lovingly spoken. Your words so sweetly lift the one you love, and all who read your words as well.

Thank you for appreciating it. Some love, indeed, does appear to be that much unconditional. :)
Very good and honest meaning in this story. Love is something buried deep inside each and every one of us, hidden behind walls of infatuation and lust.
