A Poem by Fading-to-Gray
"

just a late night wondering.

"
I wonder
Why you're awake
At 3am
While the world is sleeping
Not that I'm complaining
You are much better company
Than the ghosts that haunt my dreams
Still i can't help but wonder
Why is it
That your eyes do not grow weary
I want to know
What is in the quiet
Long after I've lost my fight against the night
What is there with you in the silence
That keeps you awake
What secrets are you keeping safe?

I enjoyed this and quite often, some years back, would ask myself this same question as well. For me, my muse decided that anytime after midnight would be a good time to appear and keep me up half the night. Well written, good job!

You write very well from the heart. I can see you playing guitar as well. Very introspective.

I think those vulnerable moments we may call weak may in fact reveal underlying substance.....
