The Kiss

The Kiss

A Poem by JC Brown

THE KISS

By Joseph Cleveland Brown

Silent Gaze, No Words Spoken
Intense Looks, Our Stares Unbroken
Eternal Moment, Frozen in Time
Standing Before Me, I Wanted Her as Mine
Though I Knew Her, I'd Never Seen Her This Way
Face to Face, Ever Closer, Minds Racing, Hearts as Clay
Silently Transfixed on Mine, Her Beautiful Eyes, Big and Brown
Hypnotized, We Stood Not Making a Sound
Passion Mounting, Desire Clear
Moving Closer, Wanting Her Near
Embracing, Lips Caressed in a Kiss
Never Will I forget Such Eternal Bliss!
Taken Back, Disbelief Running High
Mesmerized, Struck by Lightning from the Sky!

We were friends and co-workers (both single) 3 years before "The Kiss"; romance never crossed our minds. We never saw each other the same way after that moment.....jcb

awwww I love the way you build up to the moment. It's strange how you never saw each other like this before that tender kiss. Total disbelief hitting you on the head. Did it happen again ? mmmm I wonder !!
Thanks for sharing

Ah, yeah, sometimes attraction sneaks up on you. I liked the way this poem seemed to build and read faster as the passion increased. I thought this one was great.
