Mating Season

Mating Season

A Poem by Eziekiel Phlepton

Mating season
Has begun
To blossom
The daisies
And white roses
That suck the life
Out of my eyeballs

And then I turn around
To see her
Bleeding hands
From the thorns
In the stems
And the blood drops
Are tear drops
From my washed out
Eyes

Eye only see
Eyes look
But I can't describe
What I perceive
Through my eyes
Because any human
I tell this to
Would call me
Insane
or
A maniac
or
A lunatic
or
A f****t
