Changing Guitar Strings

Changing Guitar Strings

A Poem by Eziekiel Phlepton

Changing Strings
Making Things
Melt into silver
And steel
Indestructable
In dis truck ta bowl
Buddha
Is he a girl?
Is He God?
Who are we to
Say?
I am queer and gay
In a Strange
And Happy
Way
To go out for
A drink
Of ice water
And wander
Through a garden
Built for an
Ant
Elope with me
And tell the CIA
All our secrets
And solve our conflicts
By yelling at a Full Moon and stars aligned to my thoughts of Sue, Iss & Idle
Tend to my bar and
Keep her safe
In my arms
So I don't squeeze
The life out of her
When our lips
First touch
