In My blood

Feelings about writing

I take out paper
and start,
words flowing,
to my pen,
from my heart.

I write the words,
in each line,
striving for the rules
of poetry,
using meter and rhyme.

Sometimes, my poetry
is quite sublime,
to say others
are good,
is being too kind.

Good, bad,
or merely, alright,
I cannot stop;
it's in my blood
to write!
