Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Barbara Walker

Inside,

with books

on the floor,

I found

solitude.

Quickly,

I close

the door.

this piece definitely depicts the " short and yet powerful" concept of poetry: indeed when you are in a room with books, solititute will definitely loom in the atmosphere and when that is felt there definitely the need to close the door so no one intrudes into that supposed calm state....nice piece barbara, nice

I love this. It is compact yet says so much. That's what I love the most about poetry is the ability to say something succinctly but powerfully so that it continues to resonate long after reading it.
