Psi

Psi

A Poem by Barbara Walker
"

This poem was written in response to what I was doing and still do when in pain. PSI refers to pounds per square inch.

"

I've put enough PSI on my teeth,

to cause them to crack and break

and the pressure as I clench

has caused many a jaw ache.

My grip is strong for all the times

my hands become tight fists.

The tone in various muscles

is quite impressive, due to all that I flex.

I may not LOOK busy, but I'm concentrating

with all of my mind,

to ignore a lot of pain,

so it's rare I have free time!

barbara, one can see you looking beyond the cold dark cloud, and seeing sunshine
in an encouraging way, as well the reader can really feel the pain in your imaginative,
expressive, vivid, intense, envisioning words flowing from the heart, and see how
writing acts in its own therapeutic, there is a great strength and determination in
every sentence which in turn has an uplifting effect of it's own, mike
