Good-bye Fall

Good-bye Fall

A Poem by Barbara Walker

As I look out the window,

it's plain to see,

it's gonna' be one cold day!

The wind is blowin' the branches, I see

and no birds in sight,

flyin' from tree to tree.

Joker and Andre' are stayin' in their stall,

O, yes, it's Winter, good-bye Fall!

i just had to read this even though i hate to say goodbye to fall; it is such a lovely season here in new york. the rhymes read well here and with just a few images, the message is clear. you know its a cold one when animals stay in their stalls. nice.
