Well-Worn Magazines

Well-Worn Magazines

A Poem by Barbara Walker
"

Sometimes, this is all it feels like.

"

My life,

is one of pain, medications,

doctor appointments

and trips to the pharmacy.

That's my life,

pain, medications,

doctor's offices

and well-worn magazines.

If you have to put up with all of that other stuff, you'd think some good magazines wouldn't be too much to ask for.

This is so damn sad, the worst part being it's true, clever yet, painful read.

A true story in the poem. The offices of Doctors seem to have old magazines. You described in so few words the life of surviving with pain and the Doctor's visits. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Short but i think that length is unesscary with a piece so strong
the lines each carry there own venom and anger at the misjustice given to them.
Loved it
