Savage Wind

Savage Wind

A Poem by Barbara Walker

Pelting rain,

savage wind,

whirlwind destruction

and closed fingers 'round the door.

Then you can identify!
Succinct, you delivered fear here in so few words. Kudos.

Thank you!
I love how you can write short pieces but get such good writes from them! There is so much imagery in this piece. Nicely done.

Thank you!
Barbara,

Such a short piece, yet there is so much imagery going on. On the surface it is just the fear of a storm. (I can picture a scared wide eyed child clutching at the door handle)

But, deeper still is a darker fear. Not of a storm, but of life and the horrors that might lie outside. A fear of opening up to this onslaught of life itself.

Thank you for the kind review! I love your interpretation!
Description in 12 words create a vision of storm and fear. That is hard to do in so few words. You did. Thank you for the amazing poetry.
