Inspiration Goes

Inspiration Goes

A Poem by Barbara Walker
"

A suggestion for writer's block

"

Sometimes, inspiration goes,

meaningful words refuse to flow-

it's time to go where the raven goes,

to the fields where the wind blows.

Among the flowers, birds and bees,

get close to earth on bended knees,

clear your memory, clear your mind,

partake of good food and wine.

Loosen your muscles, let your body relax,

listen to the wind, let your mind go lax.

Words come, if you don't think so hard

and once again, you are a bard. *

*any poet

I really like this poem; that line was my favorite bit. Great writing! :)

I love the opening of this "Sometimes, inspiration goes, meaningful words refuse to flow"
That is truly just the epitome of all writers and the struggle to string words together into beautiful provocations of the mind :)
Lovely in all aspects!

Couldn't agree more! This is honest and very nicely written. The presentation is effective (Words in green)
Nice read :)

Great wisdom in your words. Forcing words out is hard to do. Better to write when mind and heart desire. I agree with your thoughts in the poem. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Hmm... I've been actually suffering from artist's block lately. Still sounds like good advice, though.

Very well said barb, and so very true. I can rarely write anything I would consider 'good' when I have to sit and think about it. But, if I simply let my mind wander after looking at, oh, let's say for topics sake, a photo. If I just begin to write what I 'feel', and don't try quite so hard, it comes more naturally and easily. I should think it's the same way for many.
You got me thinkin' with this write!

Ha, this was a good write. Just one question what does this mean...

"and once again, you are a bard. *

*any poet"

Don't feel that way, we learn something new everyday!
