Bathing

I'm raving
about bathing-
How I love my bath,
before I go to bed.

I light the candles
and turn off the light.
I sink down in the warm water.
I lay back and
rest my head.

I stare
at the candle's dancing flame,
getting lost,
in its color of yellow/blue,
while its shadow
casts a darkening hue.

I take in a big breath
and let it out.
My entire body relaxes,
as if I'm in my mother's womb.

My hands and arms
float, freely,
and my sense of smell, revels,
in the fragrance of my bubble bath.
My mind calms and is still.

As I am cocooned
in this warmth,
words to a poem, slowly,
come effortlessly,
to mind.

With paper and pen,
I begin...
