Wants and NeedsA Poem by Barbara Walkerfinding the balance
Finding the balance,
weighing my wants and needs, against family and friend's wants and needs, is not so much a scale, as a high wire act; sometimes performing with a safety net, other times, feeling the wind whip around me, as I look below and see the net has vanished. Fearing free fall, I drop to my knees, clinging, like a cat with claws, until the wind dies down and then, I can carry on. © 2012 Barbara WalkerReviews
