BlissA Poem by K.P.H.Mnoun; a state of spiritual blessedness, typically that reached after death. Some semblance of spring, Burst through, Purple and pink, Dust the ground, Replacing and thawing the ice frozen sound, That lay there, For years and years. Hope is springing again, And I am standing alone, Yet again. Not in a maudlin way, Like a firefly caught in a breeze, But in a stoic way, Like a willow tree who never bends its leaves. And the sun gives me energy, To unmask parts of myself, The world has never seen, And with that, I can finally find, Something serene. Melting into the lilac filled revelry, Drinking the ambrosia laid out before me, Escaping on the backs on sunbeams, While ice slowly melts in my chest, God, it feels good to breath again. © 2023 K.P.H.MFeatured Review
