Eclipse

Eclipse

A Poem by K.P.H.M
"

noun; an obscuring of the light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it and the observer or between it and its source of illumination.

"

2am,

And I’m wide awake,

Wishing for the world to break.

I’ve been holding on,

For too long,

Now everything is covered in snow,

While I was waiting for the volcano to blow.

And yet the blanket over the world,

Does nothing to soothe my soul,

So I lie here,

Faithless,

Starting at my bedroom wall,

Wanting to end it all.

I don’t know the last time I saw a ray of sun,

Or even come undone ,

Can’t even be bothered to clean,

The filth drenching me.

And I wish I knew,

How to get back to who I used to be,

All polished and new,

But my defences up now,

Cold shutting me down,

Never letting anyone in,

Never letting anyone in ever,

Again.

A sad write that touched the heart of the reader (if they have one). There are days like this, hell, there are years like this but in time things will change. Will they change for the better...who knows but they will change and you have a 50/50 chance of the change being for the better. I think the world spins in a positive rotation and eventually the good side will find everyone if they can wait for that to happen. The ending of your poem reminds me of a song I wrote titled, "And here you come" Dark but nicely written
