![]() about myselfA Poem by Juzo
Let me tell you something about myself.
I draw entire universes on my hands- a stupid thing to anyone else, but meaning everything to me. Each planet, each moon, is something in my life. Like earth is my family- giving life and destroying it simultaneously. The sun is a friend, one of the few things that gets me up in the morning and gives me hope for tomorrow. My best friend is Venus, named after the goddess of Love, because to be frank, when s****y things happen, we pick each other up, glue what is broken, and I think that's what love is. The moon is my poetry- something that reminds me that even though the sun is necessary for life, I can thrive even in the dark; that even somewhere that seems lonely and cold can be a home, and sometimes it's the safest place to be. The list is infinite because we all know that there are endless galaxies not even discovered, and the same can be said for the people in my life. Two disk galaxies can merge, and this makes a larger elliptical galaxy. This happens when people meet; whether they could be soul mates or destined for hatred, they share their stars with each other, and create something cosmically beautiful. Occasionally, a dying star creates a super nova- something so gorgeous and wonderful that it is remembered for a lifetime. But sometimes, the stars that just fade away are the most beautiful. They spread out, form new things, and become living art. I guess your eyes are like stars. They aren't dying with the grand flare of a supernova, but they exist in a way that makes me want to discover what makes them spark like precious stones. You hold stardust in your mouth, and you make me want to connect my freckles like constellations, in the hopes that I will form a universe as vast as yours.
