What of White?

What of White?

A Poem by Rita G
"

It's just another metaphor

"

Red was washed away by white.

Falling steadily from the sky with no words
as we lay in a quiet tangle of whispers.

White cast light on the black woven between
seemingly satin sheets we shared
so smooth I'd never once questioned them.

But is white truly the salvation we seek,
like that song from Sunday school?

Does white wash away or simply shelter until spring?

Almost like a Zen Koan. An answerless question, that.
-A beautiful write, spare and elegant.

There is a softness here, the flow takes me with it...excellent write.

A wonderful question you ask.
written in soft, subtle and deeply woven threads.
I must think that white bends only to display the colors of its essence.
An array of diversified hews which are there for us to touch, feel and understand.

Thanks for the thought provoking write.

=). I really like this. It gives a whole new feeling and measure to a simple color. I enjoyed the form, too. Free, but in a way, contained within firm statements. The first line is my favorite, but the last line ends it well. Wonderful metaphor. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
