I've Got Something to Say

I've Got Something to Say

A Poem by expr3444

I can't stop looking at the clock
Waiting for ask you
Only to freeze again
To be unable to say
I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY

I've got to live this life out loud
Cause you never know
A good thing til' its gone
I need to take this head on
I don't have long

My window is closing
Time is a wasting
I've only got 86,400 seconds in this day,
Left to turn this around
I need to make my move now
Before its blown away
But i'm letting the past get in the way

I though I had put that all past me
But I was wrong
And now I have to battle my way
Through to you
Cause I have something to say
And I hope its not to late

I want to live out loud
Times a wasting
With every word unsaid
Whats the point,
of keeping it lock up inside
I've got to let it out
And SHOUT

I can't stop looking at the clock
Waiting for ask you
Only to freeze again
To be unable to say
I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY
AND NOTHINGS GOING TO GET IN MY WAY

This piece work graciously as spoken art! I think it has a nice rhythm, but the rhyme is a little much at times. The last line is anticlimatic, and I would suggest replacing it, maybe with a continous repetition of "I've got something to say." Overall, this makes for a very cool read. Thanks for sharing!
