The soldier marches on fighting someone else's war
Looking back at the man that he was once before
A simple home, simple life, a simple man without a care
But his remeniscing's ended as gunshots fill the air
A bullet pierces through his chest, his eyes well up with tears
The camoflauge he wears can not hide him from his fears
Just another pawn who for his country he will die
While somewhere miles away, he can hear his family cry
A hero to us all, held in such high regard
He's dying for his country as his whole world falls apart
The soldier's blood is spilled, fighting someone else's war
And he never even knew what he was fighting for.
