"My Riddles Three" entryA Poem by exodizedThe answers are: a shadow, a (personal) library or bookcase, and the moon
"Shadow"
Connected to darkness Present in light By sun I will show myself I follow your footsteps Never speaking Ahead or behind I, a shadow Run with you happily we are one "Library/Bookcase" In many places I am found Holding treasures leather-bound Some mysterious Others are serious With mahogany I am crowned A bookcase am I My books do fly Page turning Thought churning I will never run dry Though I can't speak Your floor will creak Under my weight My awkward gait Will set your reading streak "The Moon" White and gold, small and round By night its beauty does abound Sometimes small and sometimes not This satellite is never hot Moving slowly, ever on It stays sometimes past dawn Sibling to our mighty sun Is Sister Moon, the younger one © 2010 exodized |
