Mary GreyA Poem by Kahtia HowardOh why is it that grey has overcome my Mary? Under fragile glass eyes so tranquil. It lies deep in the buried thickness of her wretched thoughts. Oh blundered heart of smothered grey, why is it for Mary the day shone dull? Sulk stricken silent soul, what happened to your lovely lullaby? Mere gone or hiding? Vanished like her sunlit heart, now only the moon sets deep within her loins. Pretentious pending, pain and plead oh for Mary blood so black, in broken skies the light recedes. Trapped in this grey chamber of striking resemblance to her heart. No light prevail these chamber walls she crumbles. What twisted truth lies in her memory? Slapped red in the pit of her thoughts she trembles of forsaken love and seeps the bitter taste out. They were poisoned in her shameful game, what lives lost foolishly from those crystal eyes. The wet damp forest soothes only those of dingy spirit and yet for Mary who lies under grey clouds, no consolation can be. The storm came then tried to redress it's sins with gentle rain just like her crystal eyes came who now left as a martyr, crystal eyes will unveil: [murderer] [murderer]
