To Kill Two Birds With One Stone

To Kill Two Birds With One Stone

A Poem by Jessica

With a shivering soul, I wonder:

How would I unleash madness

Over a majestic creature

Who can dodge any heated word

Thrown to bellow with thunder

And tear the innocent asunder?

To maintain dominance,

Mere aim is not enough

The hatred must be less directed

Split to sear the air surrounding

A vicious hurricane must commence

To corrupt virtue by resonance

Annihilate yourself with rage

To murder an oblivious angel

Earth to flame in an inner storm,

You obliterate the naivety

Only blackened blood turns the page

To seal the dove in its mental cage

The sky is their home,

And I lack the purity to belong,

But I am a crimson raven,

A bird of a different, darker breed

So I smirk and hurl the stone

To claim the sun for me alone
