Words That Cannot Heal

Words That Cannot Heal

A Poem by Jessica
"

"

i am the glimmering sun concealed by the clouds
with little slivers of light escaping from the heart's prison
i am the blindfold you place upon your closed eyelids
suffocating the world behind your obscured vision
i am the minuscule insect whose existence you disregard
you don't feel me on your soles when the foot descends
i am the smoke trickling amongst your scattered thoughts
oozing into a universe where only the invisible transcend
i am the ashes that remain of the smoldering flame
awaiting the calling of the wind's fierce gust
for i am the unrequited love that kneads at a soul
only to be swept into the atmosphere and disintegrate into dust

Very nice. I interpret this poem as either saying that someone you like doesn't even notice you exist or that someone you had been with acts like you don't exist anymore in some way.
