The Touch of the Sea

The Touch of the Sea

A Poem by Jessica

the sway of ocean waves is like a drifting ghost
as an icy mist breaks through the clouds and engulfs the coast
the soothing call of the salty air is trembling in my ear
tempting me to the water, where my wounds can be healed
the wind is enveloping me in a seashell
whispering of secrets that the earth could never tell
my thoughts trickle through time with the retreating waves
because with each kiss of the sea, a piece of me is saved
