Conquer Your Fears

Conquer Your Fears

A Poem by Jessica
"

hm, too lazy to capitalize

"

what would we do if the sun suddenly ceased to shine?
how would we live if despair was all that was left behind
in the darkness that secures our hearts with iron bars?
when hopelessness stretches across the night sky
and true bliss is as distant as the stars
when distorted faith leaves you blind
and strength in yourself is hard to find
how do you find your way when you have lost your mind?

when desperation blinds and binds us
illumination is what we need to stay strong
maybe a hand to hold, when comfort can never come too soon
escape the isolation and fear you've held on to for so long
because the tiniest sliver of light can show you the moon

Oh my gawd.. this scared me.. O.o
I thought about the first line.
"What would we do if the sun suddenly ceased to shine?"
And I just sent myself on a trip.. I would hope that I already died,
IF that day comes...
The line:
"when desperation blinds and binds us"
Stood out to me. My favorite line. xD

Pretty interesting. I like it. I think for some of us the sun has already ceased to shine.
