1000 MilesA Poem by ewest1220"My pen begins again to roar…"1000 Miles By: Ethan West What light of light of life does grow What peace resides within my mind Where wind and weather barely know Where life and bitter heart grows kind What time of time of time of day What never-ending seed of life Where all is left to then decay Where all and little, left to strife What man of man of man am I? What purpose do I see my fate? Where all is truth why do I lie? Where all is pure why do I hate? What soul of soul of dark I own? What makes it sing this song of cease? Where all is conflict that I’ve shown Why am I singing now in peace? What 1000 miles have I gone What 1000 ways I made my way Where a 1000 miles would be wrong Meet the light of darkest day And in this 1000 miles now gone I make myself myself once more My soul twas battered now is strong My pen begins again to roar… © 2014 ewest1220Author's Note
