Lately It's Been BriefA Poem by Elizabeth WeisHonestly this one is about sex and the affect it has on relationships.Lately It’s Been Brief
Haven’t seen much of your face Or felt your taste The way you made my toes curl Or how our tongues swirled
A heart surrounded by the same cage Moved on to a new age One that didn’t last Because you move to fast
When there are only three things on your mind You don’t even give me the time Yet maybe you wanted to be mine
Once our backs shared the same ledge Now you threw me over the edge Our hearts were never meant to be Yet our bodies still see How it felt to be one piece
