Racism prejudice Charles Lindbergh a root figure speaking blunt racism
People of color a threat by definition white paranoia
Wrote that the airplane was God's gift to the white race to preserve itself
To protect itself from alleged encroaching hoards red yellow black brown
Saw hope in airplanes believed in technocracy rule by big techno

Lindbergh and Ford both were anti-Semite bigots but Ford was blatant
Ford was the leader crafting and mass producing anti-Semitism
Henry Ford campaigned against the Jews and produced mass propaganda
Ford's own newspaper the "Dearborn Independent" was his vehicle
Both men scapegoated all problems onto the Jews real problems or not
Thus the Jews were blamed in this bigoted thinking for both jazz and war
Lindbergh blamed the Jews the same way Henry Ford did but was more discreet
His wife Anne helped him disguise false causality omitting rancor

Ford and Lindbergh both did not want to fight a war against the Nazis
Ford and Lindbergh both sympathized with the Nazis shared values with them
As World War II neared America First opposed U.S. involvement
America First pacifists and pro-Nazis mingled together
Confused wordings grew in this organization America First
Lindbergh joined this group enjoying the confusion to his benefit
This is where he met Harry Elmer Barnes made friends brought him to Dearborn Lindbergh introduced Barnes to Ford who hired him to write denial Harry Elmer Barnes whited out the Nazi crimes writing at Dearborn
At Dearborn Barnes wrote denial of Nazi crimes Nineteen forty-four

Colonel Charles Lindbergh later general Lindbergh was no pacifist
Nor was Henry Ford though he had previously self-applied this label
They self promoted while they villainized the Jews they self aggrandized
Myths in history persist if not rooted out let us tackle this

Nineteen eighty-one at McDonalds restaurant paper placemat lies
McDonalds untrue placemat called them pacifists Nineteen eighty-one
Great Americans and pacifists they were called falsification
No not pacifists they objected to a war against Germany
They believed in war sought its modernization profited from war
Their true sympathies were with the German Nazis values shared with them
Question their greatness they were spreaders of poison dubious heroes © 2019 Evyn Rubin |
