What I Think of "Revelation"

What I Think of "Revelation"

A Poem by Evyn Rubin
"

blunt, with simple rhymes

"

What I Think of "Revelation"

I react with consternation

to the "Book of Revelation"

I've seen its current quoting and use

constitute a form of abuse

A future nucear conflgration

is given an aura of sanctification

Apocalypse is God's will unfolding

a belief that warrants corrective scolding

Massive deaths are called God's will

because it's unbelievers who receive the kill

Chistians survive and are enrapt

a false promise that should be zapped

The Jews who in Jesus do not believe

are called imposters who only deceive

The Jews are called the Synagogue of Satan

vocabulary that is a path for hatin'

All non-Christians are doomed in the "Book of Revelation"

a pseudo-prophesy of apocalyptic devastation

And when the smoke clears Israel will be

a place where returned Jesus reigns allegedly

And those pesky non-believers will at last be gone

according to "Revelation" a new age will dawn

This is a "prophesy" born of mean depression

its adherents should repent in confession

This is a "prophesy" that shold be exposed

all its promoters should be deposed

This is a "prophesy" of rank falsification

Unworthy religion is the "Book of Revelation"

Maybe yes, I also see it as not a book to scare us but to inform us of what is going to happen.
