![]() More ProtestA Story by Evyn RubinThe murder of Hadas Malka is a murder. I want to endlessly condemn it, so as to disempower utterly all its wrongness. I want to endlessly condemn her murder, as a preventative of any more crimes like this or partially like this. The perpetrator of her murder may have had his mind full of religious and political ideology, mixed with despair and whatever else. But this crime was a desecration, religiously, and politically it has no redeeming value. The threesome who left their village with knives and a gun and the intention to inflict harm and deaths -- they were no doubt homicidal and suicidal, and bolstered by a combination of mean politics and bad religion. They do not reflect upon the spectrum of the Palestinian people, nor on the entirety of Islam. They reflect upon themselves, upon any accomplices they may have had, upon inciters, and upon the people and parties who endorsed their crime afterward. I think the occupation is a circumstance, but not an automatically causal factor. The hardships that affect Palestinians require them to respond, so they have to make choices again and again, about how to respond. The Palestinians and Israelis are on one of the front lines in the quest to maintain non-violence, and conduct some civil changes, and not have a bloody war. "Zero casualty count is the only good casualty count." The Palestinians, Israelis, and everyone who lives among them are on the ground in a front line for fairness under stress, and for non-violence. God bless and strengthen that struggle. God send protection for everyone. Her friends said Hadas Malka was a beautiful person inside and out. The cell phone video of her with her girlfriends, in a car, driving along and singing -- this is a beautiful video. ******* link for article containing car video with Hadas Malka http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4976942,00.html *******
