"Rage of Sparks"

"Rage of Sparks"

A Poem by Thepensiveplayer
"

Danger prompts action of the wisest cause

"
"A mass of lightning bolts consume the sky"
"I could only think of those that may die"
"As the clouds echoed for miles around"
"I couldn't fathom a quick strike without sound"

"I implored everyone to seek shelter"
"with the help of my esteemed elders"
"As we witnessed the clouds burst"
"it was time to prepare for the worst"

"The strikes came quickly in a flurry"
"but I assured everyone there's no need to worry"
"Since we all came home prepared"
"we ensured our lives would be spared"

The imagery in this reminds me when I was a kid. The my mom and I got caught in the rain and she bought me my first umbrella. It was this Micky mouse one and I loved that thing. I still have it too. It’s something that I will always Love.

Very well written! Kudos.

Thanks for the review and sharing your great memory with me as well!
I love your statement, "Danger prompts action". I look at your picture of the lightning as I read your poem I find myself there, prepared for the worst, hoping for best, and relieved when the rage has passed. Great poem!
