Waffle

Waffle

A Story by yellow devil

Its the way life gives you a slight glance right before her cousin reality steps in and removes the curtain allowing the audience to laugh.  I will not cry.  Even though it is so opaquely apparent that I am defeated.  The veils of deceit removed and the horror of genuine care and concern are shown on the faces of all that I truly know.  I continue the act.  You will not defeat me.  I will take the insults.  The rasping rubbing of your words laced with venom.  And the faces of removed veils will know why I will never, ever surrender.  I know that you have won.  I was never after the spoils of victory.  It was, and always will be the people I meet in this race.  And every single one of them I owe so much debt to.  When I repay the last souls what they are owed, then I will allow you to claim my defeat.  But not without a fight.  All because I dropped a waffle.
