since our last tyrant nourished liberty?
perhaps it's time to expand it's diet

others so greedy they demand subsidies
to cover their personal jet tax exemptions
and big oil needs income tax exceptions?

teabaggers wanting to "shut it down",
fools! birthers, and every other clown
taliban for jesus, fundamentalist fools
republicans wanting to kill public schools

born again thought police pushing theocracy
our capital is filled with foes of democracy
congressmen holding the country hostage
fiscally costing us on the worlds stage

working perpetually to aid special interest
f*cking we the people at their behest
lobbyist running the whole damned system
will never surrender power until we make 'em

Our Republic is in need of desperate measures
wannabe tyrants, aren't among our treasures
corrupt officials and pestilential press
coequally contribute to our cultural mess

we need chlorination of our electoral gene pool
irrational thinkers, crooks and every other tool
of those that oppose freedom & equality
let's give all a noose hanging from that tree
