We Were Brothers

We Were Brothers

A Poem by furciferous
"

But brothers no more.

"
We were brothers.

They took it.

They stole it.

Whose land is it?

Our God gave it to us.

Our ancestors gave it to us.

Get out.

Get out of the Promised Lands

Get out.

Get out of our country

You have no right.

We will reclaim them, these
Promised Lands.

You force us from the lands of
Our forefathers;
What right do you have?

What right?

What right do you have to the lands that
God bestowed upon us?
They belong to us.

You can't just take it away from us,
Push us out of our homeland.

We gave you the West Bank.

You forced us into the West Bank.

We are only looking to please God.

We are all children of God.

(And yet…

What

Are

We

Doing?)

Riots.

Revolt.

Killing
It's all the same.

Death to the bombers

Death to the radical Jews

If we are the children of God
Should we not all live together?

No.

No.

Never.

The Jews shot my friends

The Arabs bombed my family.

The Jews, they shoot us with guns
And divide us with walls,
Like animals.

The Arabs, they are barbarians.
They deny us our rightful land
And nobody is safe.

We cannot live together.

We cannot stand together.

We were brothers.
