Strawberry Torment

Strawberry Torment

A Poem by evilbro89
"

This is just a glimpse of what it's like to live in my world.

"

I can see you

But you are not in my universe

Our paths will never cross

So close I could touch you

 But unbreakable glass separates us

I am not meant to have you

You consume my mind

And in my mind I consume you

But you don’t know I exist

To hold you for a minute

Would quench my burning inside

I know the flames must yet rise higher

 To join my world

You must fall from yours

I will not let that happen

I cannot get the vending machine pop tarts

My soul cries black tears

I like the simplicity of it. not every poem has to have some grand meaning behind it. I really love the title:)

Nothing wrong with writing poetry about food. We must have food and water to live. Woman will come and go. We will always want good food. I like how you started and finish the poem. A excellent poem.
