I Cannot Write My Essay

I was supposed to write an essay for a class assignment, but this is what I wrote instead.

I cannot write
my essay--
I sigh at such a bore!
Let me dream of bright sunbeams--
Of --magic-- faith, and lore.
I’ll hide in hidden gardens--
find worlds within a wall--
“Hush now, pray,
and let me stay--
behind this
waterfall!”
