She BledA Poem by unorthodoxWritten: October 21, 2013 She was lost. She was surrounded by darkness, Eating at her from all sides. She searched for something, Anything, That could possibly keep her alive. She pounded on the walls, Gasping for a sliver of air. Her soul was slowly diminishing, Dwindling, The longer she was in Hell's lair. She searched for something sharp, Her gaze on her own talon-like nails. She scratched at her skin, clawing, Tearing, As others have done when their hope fails. Blood dripped from the open scars, Staining her white dress red. And as her last breath escaped quietly, Unmercifully, The world laughed at her as she bled. She was gone. (c) unorthodox
