She Bled

She Bled

A Poem by unorthodox

Written: October 21, 2013

She was lost.

She was surrounded by darkness,
Eating at her from all sides.
She searched for something,
Anything,
That could possibly keep her alive.

She pounded on the walls,
Gasping for a sliver of air.
Her soul was slowly diminishing,
Dwindling,
The longer she was in Hell's lair.

She searched for something sharp,
Her gaze on her own talon-like nails.
She scratched at her skin, clawing,
Tearing,
As others have done when their hope fails.

Blood dripped from the open scars,
Staining her white dress red.
And as her last breath escaped quietly,
Unmercifully,
The world laughed at her as she bled.

She was gone.

Oh hey, saw your bio, I'm thirteen too. I'm gonna warn you and tell you that there are a few weirdos on here and I'd try not to be mean to anybody. beautiful poem though.

Amazing! my favorite part was:
'Unmercifully,

The world laughed at her as she bled.

She was gone.'
So much emotion and the way you wrote it was beautiful. Sounds like me a lot lol.
Well done, friend.
