Radio Free Middle East

Radio Free Middle East

A Poem by Evan The Seven
"

I wrote this piece recently. It was a nice late-night burst of creativity based (loosely) on the radio messages broadcasted from America into Nazi Europe in World War II. Thanks for tuning in. (Ha Ha)

"

Radio Free Middle East

"I come bearing liberation."

"From what you ask?"

"Tyranny?"

"Death?"

"Destruction?"

"Dig it?"

"This is America..."

"Underground..."

"Have Water..."

"Food..."

"Music..."

"Love..."

"Opportunity..."

"Shelter..."

"Small World..?"

"Small Men often have a way of climbing to the top..."

"Falling down..."

"Are you at peace...?"

"Need rest..?"

"Me 2..."

"Tired..."

"Hopeful..."

"Waiting..."

"Looking for God..?"

"Me 2..."

"Muhammed..."

"Allah..."

"Jesus..."

"Buddha..."

"Lovers..."

"Truth..."

"You and me..."

"And God..."

"Allah..."

"Mohammed..."

"Jesus..."

"Want to be healed of this bittersweet affliction

Which is Life..."

"Spirit Water..."

"What will we do..?"

"Want Peace..."

"Water for oil...

 No blood...

 No money..."

"Water for Peace..."

"Water cleanses

The Sol

Of Man..."

"I am an

       American Poet..."

"I seek Liberation, too..,"

"From the feeling..."

"That there is much..."

"Too much..."

"Death..."

"Where are our heroes?"

"Where are our Gods?"

"The highest ideal..."

"Humanity Sucks..."

"Sometimes..."

"Women and Children dying..."

"The young men..."

"Would you agree?'

"Are you there?"

"I'm as lost as you..."

"Sometimes..."

"Sending Water...."

"It is truly the elixer of Life..."

"Be in touch..."

"Soon..."

"Liberation is here and..."

"I'd say Friendship is..."

"The chiefest of virtues..."

"Love..."

"Reason..."

"Peace."

I'm so glad EM sent this my way! This is wonderful, and the staccato drumbeat drives home the intensity of the message. This could be a great performance piece! I wish it could be sent to all persons in national and international leadership positions.

Definitely a beat poem, IMHO. This is fantastic...we are all the same, looking for peace, water, food, love and shelter...but the lines are so blurred from a distance...excellent stuff :)

Wow... absolutely wonderful. I really loved this piece. It reads stacotto like an old Beat poem called forth over the waves of jazz music proclaiming truth for all the world to hear. So well done!!!
