If Could Just Scream

If Could Just Scream

A Poem by Mackenzie

Then maybe all the festering hatred would subside,

Then perhaps I could move on and leave you behind.

If I could take hold of this emotion, known as love, though I'm really not sure what it is,

then maybe I could frolick off to some forbidden place where no love exsists and people share in common good and just hold hands.

Where you can be gone and return again and nothing has changed.

I've been living in denial. One that has clouded my absolute view of the world, false security that is now absent in the presence of an idea, an idea that you won't be waiting for me, that you only had been because you hadn't found anyone else yet, and now you have, and I am just a mess of self pity.

God D****t, how could I be so stupid.
